Scouting/Going to listen in cold windy weather?

If you know where birds are, should I even worry about going to listen? I always like to go a few days before season start to the few places I have birds but its in the 40s and windy has heck, 20 plus mph. Is it waste of time or will they still gobble?

I usually guard myself from getting burned out. By this time of the season I've usually already listened a few mornings in March already coupled with trailcam observations giving me a pretty good idea of whats going on. I use days like yesterday/today to rest up so I'm ready to go full force when the time and weather are right. FWIW

I've heard they were burning down the woods this morning.

Kind of surprised me due to how chilly and windy it was but I heard 4 different gobbles, one right where I thought he would be, the other 3 way off. He should be there Saturday morning, right? No one hunts this property.

It was a clear, high pressure morning. Birds gobble like crasy on high pressure days.

They are turkeys, they can be tight beaked opening morning and gobble their wattles off the next day.
