Seattle gone crazy

Never Work not enough people to pay for it
I'd like to see a City, or a State do it so the rest of the Nation could see and hear the result of it after about 5 years. Also, I'd like to see and hear from the general public's perspective on their level and quality of care, waiting times to get appt's, administrative aspects, etc., etc.,

They would also have to go ahead and take a lot of fragile people out to keep costs down

That's what happens when the healthcare of a people is centralized and run by the State.

I have seen it.
When my dad went on Medicare, three quarters of his best doctors dropped him. They wouldn't work for the money that Medicare paid. We had to scramble to find new specialists in every area... We did pay about $750 a year to stay on the customer list of his primary health care provider (family doctor).
As a side note, nary one of his new doctors were anywhere near wasp-ish.
All this really confirmed my notion that health care is not a right (although there never was really a question about it). If no doctor wants to do it for the pay that the government is gonna give them, we will have less and less doctors. What will the government do after they are all in other fields? MAKE people go to med school in order to serve the public?
Single payer is for those with no logical reasoning skills.

In other words, the elderly and severe condition/illness patients are expendable once the costs are deemed "not worth it".

The REAL Golden rule... You get what you pay for.
My dad was the wealthy man. after he went on Medicare he got lumped in with the welfare patients...

Man normally I would agree with you but that's already happening and the MSM just ignores it. California is on the verge of total collapse but you would never know it if you just watched the alphabet media which is what most people do. Californians are leaving there in droves as you certainly know and the out of sight taxes that they voted for are the reason. But it's like it isn't even happening as far as the MSM is concerned.

Detroit is another obvious example. It's like a third world country and should be a deafening warning bell of what happens when liberal Democrats are allowed to put their policies in place exactly the way they want to. But you never even hear about it or on the rare occasion that you do, it's blamed on Republicans.

This would be unreported just like those.

Was out in Oakland this past week, and have never seen so many homeless encampments in my life. Along the roads, under every overpass, there was even a shantytown inside the fence at the Oakland Coliseum. I'm not talking tens of tents, old dilapidated campers and lean-to's, I'm talking hundreds at each location.

Health care crisis is just like the global warming crisis, it is all created by political factions with goals of total control over the masses. Propaganda has convinced people that their number one threat is climate and no health insurance.

Exactly. I had a coworker for about 15 years that was a democrat. He was all for mandatory healthcare. I said just because you are an American doesn’t mean you are entitled to healthcare

I would be for all these accords and things that would be logical things that would be good for the planet. The problem is the left wing loons think that the U.S.A. Is the problem. We have more environmental laws and regulations than any other country or place in the world. Go to some of these third world countries or to India or Russia or China. They polute a thousand more times than anything we do. The left is using Climate change as vehicle to insert their brand of communism in to our political structure. Everyone in the U.S. wants a clean environment. Some of us understand what that means. The left blames America for the worlds problems. Most have never lived in a place where people have open sewers and practice human trafficking as a honorable way of life. We are not the problem but the left wing loons have drank the cool aid and America is the problem.

Spot on my brother. After I got out of the Marine Corps I found myself single, with a little bit of money, and suddenly free to do whatever I wanted to do. I decided to go to college at the ripe old age of 26. I had been the age of a college freshman just a few years before so even though I was a little older than most of my classmates I didn't think we would be all that different. WRONG! I had a political science professor who openly talked about America being the source of most of the world's problems and used his class time to trumpet the beauty of socialism and talked about how the US military were the real terrorists.

None of that surprised me. Most college professors are far left liberal loons. What surprised me is how almost none of my classmates batted an eye. They accepted this crazy man's rantings as the statement of self evident truths. I was gobbsmacked. This was not at a huge University either. This was at the back water Georgia Southwestern State in little old Americus Georgia. These kids weren't from Atlanta. They from places like Rochelle, Cordele, Leesburg, Shellman etc etc. It was an eye opener.

Kids are taught this crap from very early on now. When Dennis Prager talks about sending your kids college is one of the fastest ways to make them stupid he is right. But it starts way before that.

I see this differently than most. To me this is being brought on because states are at the point of bankruptcy due to having to pay for the healthcare costs of those that can't in their respective states, so how do you get rid of that cost? You place it in the hands of the Federal Government and have the burden placed on the entire country instead of just your states residents. That's what I see happening and why this has become a big matter in politics. Look at all the candidtates that are jumping on this and the states they represent. Most are near financial collapse. This isn't about taking care of those who can't in areas like Seattle, this is about getting you and I to pay for them even though we don't live there.
