shoot thru the hull fishfinder

I have an Old Town canoe made out of Royalex -plastic - not aluminum, not FG

I want to mount a shoot thru the hull transducer, but i can't find out it it's possible. Can find info on Alum, FG, but not plastic.

I don't care that it reduces the range, I'm not taking my canoe out in the briny deep. I just don't want to burn something up.

Your transducer is, most likely, embedded in a plastic casing for mounting purposes, shouldn't be a problem. Can be mounted using clear silicon caulking.

Search transducer mounting in kayaks on YouTube. There were a couple of super helpful videos on there when I was trying to mount mine...

I did an in-hull ducer mount in my kayak and works great with a brick of duct seal. Just have to REALLY smash that thing down in there to make sure there's no gaps or air bubbles between the hull and the transducer. I saw it on youtube and worked great. Try and mount it to the flattest part of your hull. If you don't have any flat or near flat areas, this method may not work as good is it did for my kayak
