Shot Placement

I had a chance to shoot a doe this weekend @ 15yds but she was facing me.
I would have had to shoot her in the chest. should i have taken the shot?
I did not take the shot because I figured I would hit bone. ::huh:

You did the right thing. Broad side or quartering away is the correct way to shoot. But at some point she had to turn one way or the other?

Good choice!

Double lung is usually what I try to take. The first ever deer I took with a bow I shot a little high and hit the spine. Wasn't pretty. It died about 5 yards from where I shot him but it looked like the Predator was in their with me. the deer kept trying to get up and was throwing itself all over.

You did right, I passed on a nice 8 pt Sunday when I was in the same situation. It just wouldn't turn broadside until it walked into some brush in front of me. Better to let it live to hunted another day than to sleep tonight knowing it is dead or suffering out in the woods never to be found.
