What part of the state? May be important for subspecies ID. I'm guessing one of the banded water snakes but trying to confirm it with snake experts.

I guess the experts on the snake forum aren't in the mood to split snake hairs. They just said juvenile water snake but not which kind.

Those marking do holler banded watersnake though.

Thought it was a water snake too, but just seemed out of place. Middle GA.
