I had a teenager express fantasies about that when I was in jr high. He thought it would be so cool. At the time he got excited about the idea of launching a Mustang.
But think about the gas mileage that thing is gonna get.

I wonder what the fuel rate / mpg is on the rocket that is carrying it?
The Falcon 9's estimated mpg was around .0075 mpg. I imagine the Falcon X Heavy is worse than that, just to get it free of our gravity.

I suppose the further it travels the better it gets. At 17k mph it's a matter of distance. I suppose after a year it may make it up to .01 mpg.
