String nock too low?

I've been watching this slow motion video of my new bow firing over and over. It seems when I release my arrow the string nock may be too low or rest too high and the arrow rises as it is fired. It shoots good. Broadheads hit about 3 inches lower at 30 yards than field points.

Is this normal? Is this something worth worrying over this close to the season?

Shoot it through paper, that will tell you. Even in slow motion, the video was to quick.

yep, need to shoot it through paper. go to home depot/lowes and get you enough pvc pipe to just rig you a paper tuner big enough to hold an 8X11 sheet of paper. You can build one for less than $10 easily.

And I've always said....its nearly impossible in my opinion for the human eye to detect bad arrow flight at today's speeds. Your arrow would have to have an awful fishtail for your eye to pick it up.

Over an hour of trying to tune broadheads and I was whipped and finally listened to your advice. Should have known better but I was trying to rush it. Broadheads consistantly hit lower than field points even with a half dozen rest adjustments.

Paper tuned with my front foot 8 feet from paper. First shots had the vanes hitting about 1.5" high and 1" left of points. I made 5 or 6 adjustments and got it to this. Granted I was smoked from all the shooting and my form was still ok but not 100%. How close is this to being good enough?

This pics are from the back of the paper, it was the only way I could get the vane cuts to show in the picture.

That's pretty good. If that's from the back, then the first shot was still a little tail left, but the others look good. I'd say take a rest, and reshoot broadheads when you're sure you're 100%. But I'd bet you're good to go.

After following advice from here and paper tuning I am hitting consistent groups out to 50 yards. Broadheads and field points were hitting the same. I was amazed since I've never shot so well. Thanks Kris87 and everyone else all that gave input on my threads and others!

I'm going to limit my shots to 40 yards but it's cool to think I can hit groups in the kill zone at 50 yards.
