Tanning a coonskin

Got a coonskin that is special to my son. First one he ever saw our dog tree and he shot him out. Good condition and already skinned. Anyone on here do tanning at a reasonable price or have an easy method of do it yourself? I want it to last and be soft. Probly a Christmas gift if possible.

Georgia tannery in Griffin may can do it for you

Send it to a professional tannery, Moyles, Z&L or Sleepy Creek are good ones, you could get a coon done for around $25.00, some of these have longer lead times than others, Google them and call them to check on lead times. One important thing, they must be fleshed and dried before sending to most tanneries.
