I think I'm going to have the 81 Psalm as my go to "in my breast pocket" bit of scripture for the rest of my life.
It resounds with meaning to me. Everything I hold dear within my faith is contained within the 81Psalm.
I could spend hours and hours studying it. Hours and hours meditating on it. Hours and hours sharing it. etc.
I once listened to a WW2 vet, a commando, give a talk and who replied to the question," Were you religious during the war?" He replied "No". but also said, that he had carried the little bit of scripture about "the sparrow" in his breast pocket and that once while his group were attacking a bunker, a patato masher landed next to his face while he was laying on the ground and it did not go off."
I think Psalm 81 is going to be my breast pocket "sparrow" in the yrs I have remaining ---maybe 20 at most if the supply chains can hold.
"He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat;
And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you."
