The Door

Gone but not forgotten.
Job 38:17; "Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? "

There is a door waiting that almost everyone must enter one day, that door is death. It is the eternal destiny for everyone since the fall of Adam. In Romans 5:12 it says that by one man sin entered the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

Beyond that door lies everyone's eternal destiny, some to the resurrection of eternal life and some to the resurrection of eternal condemnation.

Since all have sinned all are born into this world on the road to condemnation, alienated form God because of Adam's transgression. But God provided a way to himself and that way was in himself went he came into the world 2000 years ago in the person of Jesus Christ. God who is eternal life and by whom all things consist came into this world of sin and paid the full price for sin when he died on a cross for all. The word of God in 2 Corinthians 5:21 says that God made him "the Lord Jesus" to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The Word of God goes on to say in Hebrews 11:6 that without faith it is impossible to please God and in the book of Romans chapter 10 verse 17 that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

So the only way to please God in this age of Grace is to take him at his word. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, he paid for all our sin on the cross and paid the full penalty for our sin. He was delivered for our offences, and raised from the dead for our justification. It's faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross and his resurrection from the dead that guarantees acceptance with God as he is our redeemer and our life giver.

There are some(Believers) that shall not taste death but shall be changed. Part of the mystery revealed by the Apostle Paul tells us from 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52 that: "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." Our hope and prayer is to be part of that group but if not, we have the promise of God that we believers will all be changed at his appearing for us in that great and glorious day. Take God at his word: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
