Thompson Center Tree Hawk question

I have a .50 cal T/C Tree Hawk in the composite camo. I do not deer hunt a lot and know nothing about black powder guns. I actually won this gun in a raffle. Does anyone know anything about the gun as far as quality or how easy it is to learn to shoot a muzzleloader and deal with all the powder, caps, etc.? Thanks for any info.

I have this exact gun, and it has worked well so far. Its actually a pretty decent first muzzle loader, as the camo finish will help protect the metal (to an extent).

As far as learning, this is not a bad rifle to start with. All you need now is some blackpowder, No. 10 or 11 caps, and a projectile. I use Pyrodex RS behind 350gr T/C conicals, and it is deadly out to 50-75 yards. Just make sure you clean it after every shooting session!!

I have always liked mine, but then I like short rifles. I did change it over to use musket caps for better ignition.
