I have used 7.5 6x and 5x tapered leader several times now.
The butt section is a little thicker and it turns larger flies
really well. In the park, I used the 6x on a 4wt rod throwing
#14 hoppers. The 5x was on a river at home throwing
small poppers. the 4wt is not ideal for poppers and longer
cast but I like the 4wt
