It works really good, if you are going to tan them it works even better after they have sat in a pickle for about 3 days.

Pickle is an acid solution.
Tanning kit. All you need extra is ph test strips. Works well on coyotes, fox, and bobcats

I use 2 pickles when tanning. Once the hide is salt dried, I flesh just like the video shows. Except I dont wear all that PPE, I dont get that wet or have flesh blasted on me by the pressure washer.
The first pickle is 4 gallons water, 4 pounds of salt dissolved in the water, and 5 liquid oz of sulphuric acid(battery acid). I let it sit in that pickle for a few weeks.
I then move it to the other pickle, which is the exact same as the first, only I add chromium sulphate, which is the actual tanning chemical.

I defleshed my Gator hide with a pressure washer. I can tell you 11 foot of Gator skin whipped me. I was soaking wet and covered in gunk but it got it done and took almost 2 hours
