I use hunter safety system, but not the vest, it's the bow hunter version, I like it because I can put it under my heavy coat, and pull the lanyard out the top, or wear it when it's warm weather over a t-shirt. It's very non restrictive and extremely simple to put on.
I use an extension ladder with levelers when putting up hang on and leaning ladder stands. It's much safer and easier. It's also faster. My buddy and I put up 9 stands for our club in one morning this year.
No matter what you chose make sure you have means to step up in your suspension and relieve the pressure if you fall. HSS and others include a suspension strap.
