what to plant??

I haven't planted food plots in yrs. I've got a few spots I'm wanting to plant this yr, most of them being between thinned pine rows. There are some acorn producing oaks on the property, but I'm wanting to give the deer a variety. Whats something that doesn't require a perfect pH and not much fertilizer? In other words, whats good for a poor mans food plot? Rye, oats? If you were gonna plant one thing what would it be? Thanks for any help fellas

Coker oats and clover. Complement each other perfectly. Deer will eat the oats until the clover gets established then will mow the clover down.

pinto beans from the grocery store 5 dollars for a 20 lb. bag they grow like crazy.

winter wheat will grow in the bed of your truck. id recommend it
