What type Food for Moultrie fish feeder

I bought a Moultrie automatic fish feeder for our dock. What kind of food should I use. Could I use a cheap dog food. It seems like since it is fish food, they charge a premium price. I have thrown duck feed in the water and fish love it. The duck feed is too fine for a spread feeder . It needs to be some kind of pellets. Any advise ?

Your feeder is at a 100% humidity location. Dog food will not last long before it crumbles and won't run thru the feeder.

I have a feeder on my dock, tried to save some money with dog food, but found even the smallest did not work in feeder. Fish will chow down on dog food but size is the problem. I use a game fish pellet and it is small and feeder slings the crap out of it.

The floating catfish pond pellets from there worked great. Used them in my koi pond as well.

Floating catfish food works well. You can also try Fingerling food. It has a higher protein rate than normal fish food.
