Where to hunt this year (north of Atlanta)

Ah. So my son asked me to take him hunting, again. It has been seven years, at least. I will not be joining a club this year but am thinking of taking him on to public land. I was thinking the Amicalola track, as I've seen deer there in the past. Is it still a good spot to show up at? We will be blind hunting.
