Which one? Coyote took my shot

I had these two bucks patterned perfectly. The wind was perfect, and the light rain would cover my sound. I snuck in after the storm and waited on them. It turns out that they were headed to me on a string, and a coyote got behind them and ran them off. Sometimes, you can do everything right, but it just doesn't work out.

I have 2 questions for the forum:

1. What will this 10 point score (couldn't fail to ask the standard question)?

2. Given the opportunity, would you shoot the velvet 7 (a rare opportunity in South Georgia by my experience), or take the ten?
