whiting questions

Hope to take kids out this weekend and have a couple questions. I am just learning.

1. High tide tomorrow is at about the hottest part of the afternoon. Will the whiting bite at approx 1:54pm at near 100 degree weather? Does time of day matter, or just the tide?

2. I will be fishing Ossabaw sound (out of Fort McCallister Marina). If the wind is wrong and we can't get out to the north end of Ossabaw where we have had success in the past, where else should we try for whiting and small sharks?

Thanks to all for any help.

The whiting should bite shrimp and squid really good the couple hours before high tide and the couple hours after high tide.
They'll bite all the time at easy oppurtunity but the closer to before high tide and right after the water starts to pull back out is when the whiting will be looking for for food the most.

Whiting bite will be good at least an hour each side of high and low tide. Caught over a dozen today in about 30 minutes on the first of the outgoing and 2 nice blacktips
