The left and right feet were just a couple inches apart, definitely not armadillo. Also found on top of a pond dam. Turtle for sure.

I'd go with turtle. Looks like the vegetation is pushed down in the middle of the tracks also.

I'd agree. Armadillo tracks are wierd looking, almost like bird tracks, with an odd register.
