I'd guess 3 1/2 on the left and 2 1/2 on the right.

you have to resize them the file is too big. On the computer I just go to open in paint on windows.

He has a nice rack. Late season so may have lost some body weight, but he doesnt' look real big bodied. But I'm finding depending on your area deer body sizes can vary a lot.

BassHunter. I will try that. Our rut is just starting so he isn't run down yet. If he's young he definitely has potential. His face looks older to me though. His hocks barely are stained.

As old as he would ever get if I saw him. :D

4.5...the smaller buck hocks are even light and the fact they are still together and tolerating each other this time of year makes me think your rut might be later than you think.

Our rut is typically from the 15th til Christmas. We have does bred as late as February.

Are you down in SW Ga South of Donalsonville. If so you are right about rut timing but seems strange those two are tolerating each other.

I hunted around Mayhaw and the best time would be actually the week after the season ended. Rut would happen before Christmas but seems the big boys got on their feet after the season and were more active in the secondary rut..
