.40 s&w ammo advice

I killed a medium size hog in s ga. years ago with my G23 180gr hp after my Rifle had jammed, I hit it in the spine at 50 yds, it dropped right there, I like the 40 S&W, with the right bullet and placement it has good killing power.

While I can't recommend which ammo to use against Bear, I would suggest something other than a chest rig. Nothing against them, but with a backpack on, it is likely to really be uncomfortable.

I got a GS Holster which works great while wearing a backpack. Sits between the chest strap and hip belt and stays very close to the body. Easy to take on and off. Somebody on this forum recommended GS...not sure who it was, but good recommendation. Not overly expensive either at $75.

I'm going to test those Underwood solid copper and see how they perform out of my gun.
