Hog Trap

Problem with those “box” style traps is you only catch a few..and educate a lot!? I much prefer a “figure 6” style trap made out of 3-4 16ft combo panels anchored to t-posts. You usually get the whole sounder (which is top priority)!

I know what your talking about.
This cheap trap ain’t worth carrying around. ? JK
The one your talking about stays in place don’t it.
The OP you can move.
Where I hunt you may put a dent in them but they will always be there.
I don’t know what I would do with 30 dead hogs at one time.

Yes,the Circle C..or figure 6 traps are stationary..but are a better way to go on property that you’ll be on for the long term? Box style traps are handy also(mobile). I have (2) figure 6 traps & (2) box style traps around our hayfields & ponds. I can run a board or 2 thru the box trap & move it around with the front end loader on tractor if I see new rooting activity?

That’s what I used to say too. Didn’t have any for 20 years on our place and then last December a few showed up. We have now killed 24 since last year!!!

The farm I have that seems most likely to have hogs (almost a mile of Little Salkehatchie river frontage) has been in the same family since just after the Civil War and it is reported that they have never had hogs on the place.

I am hoping that remains the case.

I know what they are capable of ...
