Tick prevention for dogs

I have a black lab that I take hunting with me. He stays in the camper while I am hunting but is outside when I am back in camp. Can I spray his fur with tick repellant? He has a seresto for flea prevention but I don’t want him to carry ticks to me. Thanks for any advice.

I wouldn’t because dogs lick theirselves.

Nexguard Is what I use. It’s a chewable tablet, they recommend monthly dose. I have found they last longer. Kind of pricey, but work great

I agree about nexguard. My two pups spend hundreds of days in the woods and sleep in the house, all without ever bringing me a live tick (nexguard kills the tick when they bite the dog).
