Carters Lake Spotted Bass, Striper, Walleye, Humminbird (pic hvy)

Sorry for the lack of reports over the past few months. I've been reporting on my FB page but that's about it. Thanks for all the PM's over the past few months checking in on me, I'm fine, just extremely busy. My schedule is starting to open up so I'll try to drop in reports more regular.

This Summer has been fantastic for me. My guys have enjoyed great numbers every day, and the occasional 4lb+ Spotted Bass, Striper, or Walleye in the mix as well. We've caught fish on everything from Drop Shots, and Spotsticker Jigheads, to topwater and livebait. If you're planning a bass fishing trip to Carters focus on two different zones. 15-20ft and 25-35ft contour edges are holding fish, any cover in these area's will have fish on it. I use my 1198 Humminbird with Lakemaster Chart to target particular depth zones. Use the Depth Highlight feature and color your target zone. I post a couple of screen pics showing the fish focusing on these depths. One pic is of a brush pile and tons of Spotted Bass suspended over/near the brush in the shallower 15-20ft zone, the other pic is showing fish hovering a breakline in the 25-35ft zone. This has been typical all Summer.

Here's a few pics from recent trips, including yesterdays outing with Chuck and grandson Jeff whom are GON Members. Thanks again guys :)

Good luck out there everyone. LB

Great pics and great fish! Especially those walleye! Haven't caught one since I moved down here from Chicago!

If you could get on those walleyes with consistency I'd book several trips a year!

I get a ton of Walleye requests but unfortunately I don't think it's possible here to catch them consistently throughout the year. Fall and Spring are the best chance.

Yes, usually one or two per day. Most are small, under 4lbs. But, it's been a good Summer for big Flatheads too. Here's a few since mid-July....

interestingly enough, the last time I looked at the usgs flathead native distribution range I didn't realize just how much of NW Ga is included. According to the map, Flatheads are native to Carters Lake and the Coosawattee.

you can adjust it a good bit and zoom in

Pm me or give me a buzz if you still have my number. I got a couple tricks for ya for some consistency.....other than spending less time on spots and linesides.

Man, y'all have some big walleye down there! I've caught thousands of walleye I guess, fishing on lakes here where you can expect to limit out on them if they're hitting, but I've only caught a couple the size of the ones in your pics in decades of fishing for them.
