My father in law volunteers at the park for 4-5 months a year and from what he has been told they are NOT going to fix the road going to the east end. It will be only accessible by boat.

Now that plan may have changed I seen another post on here where someone else said that they talked to one of the park rangers and they said they plan to have it open by April. So I'm not sure. I've personally caught more fish on the bay side so I rarely went to the east end myself.
