Anyone wanting a good mountain/wilderness hunting pack should take a look at the Mystery Ranch Terraframe-50. It is on sale right now at REI for $200.00. The TF-50 is basically a slightly smaller Selway. It has a capacity of 3000 ci so you can go 1-3 days. These packs are essentially bomb proof. Packed with 60 lbs. mine cartwheeled 1200 feet down an avalanche shoot in Idaho and the only damage was a dime sized spot of very minor abrasion. The pack has the overload feature so you can pack out game. If you think you might want to do a Western hunt or a deep hunt into one of the Eastern wilderness areas and are not familiar with Mystery Ranch I suggest you do some quick research, because this is by far the cheapest I have ever seen these packs priced.
