Was out creeping for pigs through an old favorite spot. The sign was pretty slack compared to normal, but I did run into some yotes cruising around 8am. I was moving into the wind beside a narrow slough and caught movement ahead, two yotes. I slipped my safety off, and raised the rifle into a gap in the trees, when she trotted out at 30 yards I settled right in front of her brisket, squeezed. The 6.8 gave the lead lady a catastrophic heart attack. Her friend kicked it into high gear. I tried a running shot on him/her but I some trees ate it. The blood spurt is from her first few bounds after I hit her. She was piled up about 15ft away. This is the first critter I have shot with 6.8 SPC. I’m shooting 90gr soft points. I’m very pleased with the expansion.
I’m trying again Sunday with my brother in some other pig spots.
