Pike county food plot back corner of a field

In a stand on edge of field with bedding area nearby. Had a lot of deer on camera last night/this morning.
First hunt of 2020. Has been a mighty pretty afternoon.

When I get done here gonna go home n watch n see if Dawgs have enough guys to field a team tonite.

We climbed out a few minutes early and scared the herd away that was apparently behind us.

Had two does trot behind me about 4:45. Couldn't get on 'em fast enough .

Had 3 or 4 at last light. One was a buck but I couldn't tell if he was the one I had on my mind (even with the Meostar). Wouldn't have mattered- was a little too late to shoot a deer.

Nice sit. Always great to see some deer.

Now to eat some pork and black eyed peas and watch some football.

Well I tried. It was the last Sheffield hunt this season. Deer season there is over. About 2 week's remaining for Allatoona Corp then I can pout..... but it's almost turkey season
