Now he's riding all over creation.
Only got 10 acres of woods, not sure why he needs to drive a four wheeler 100 yards to the stand.
Could be disabled I guess. No way you can hunt like that and not blow every deer out of that bottom in the morning though.

Rant over.

Had one respond to a grunt call and come into about 80 yards around 8:30. Decided he got close enough and turned and ran after a few seconds.

Had something get close on my blind side about 20 minutes ago, squirrels and birds going crazy. Sounded it like it flushed a handful of ground birds while moving.

i know, i keep reading that by now fawns can survive without mama. gonna get down in a minute and go get a slice of pizza.
On my way home after breaking camp at lunch today i had a fawn cross the road in front of my car... when it first ran out in the street i thought it was a big rabbit.
In general i think you're right but there might be a few that still need mama.

I was lucky enough to knock down a doe at 7:45.

I was glad for it too. The rest of my season is in question because of a family medical event.

Hope I can get back out soon.

Good luck to all ya.
Congratulations
