12ga Black Powder

I have recently looked into the Diablo pistol and thought it would be a cool novelty item. I have a .50 cal CVA optima that I use for hunting and I use the hornady 44 cal bullets with the plastic jackets as opposed to the 50 cal bullets and love it. Very accurate and have dropped deer at 100yds. Is there a jacket for 12 ga so that you can use 50 cal or other bullets instead of lead balls with a wad or card or bird shot. I think it would be much more simple to drop 3 30 grain Hogdon pellets in the Diablo and then a plastic jacketed bullet.

@fullerusmc check these out from BPI. Maybe they'll work for you although they weren't designed for black powder. Might have to experiment a little with some fiber wads with a sabot on top to get a good seal.

I shoot a .54 cal lead slug out of a 28g.
Next time its fishing football weights that just happen to be hollowpoints.

I tried using a sabot with the .54 in 28g but in my opinion with the sabot it’s a hair too tight.
Well actually it was a wad not a sabot

I'm a dummy. I was looking at the Diablo for sale on other sites. I visited the actual Diablo site and they make the jacket. Although if the BPI works it's a better price and smaller which would be better for such a short barrel. For anyone that has an old 12 ga BP and want to shoot slugs look into these.
