17HMR for small game

I'm wonering if 17HMR 20gr ammo is good for small pest control.
I found some on gun broker and wonder iif this is a good deal ...

Or should I use 17gr?

That’s what I shoot them with, if you don’t hit the squirrel in the head, your going to lose meat, the red tips and hollow points are what we use, 17-20 grain, both shoot great out of my marlin

Depends on if you want fmj (which is in the ad) or ballistic tips or hollowpoints

They will all work

For pest control an air Gun may be a better option, especially with the ammo shortages.

If you want to use the meat then it’s a head shot only proposition ………… with both 20gr and 17gr…… both = dead critters ?
