Careful there, SS, that is exactly what he is trying to get through. A national gun owner's registration system similiar to New York, where all transfers are recorded, even private sales.
They have an active database on all gun owners in the state. CT, CA, MA, and others have that type of registration also.

Thus, my last post.

If there is no records kept, how is New York able to know where these guns are coming from.Tells me that our background checks may already be compromised. They may be tracing new guns from the manufacturer, but what about used guns.

LE/FBI/ATF traces a gun by starting first at the manufacturer, then to the distributor, then the FFL retail level, then to the original buyer......

If they can pinch an original buyer for an "improper" transaction, they will.

This is only step one. Trying to push the little FFL retail license holders out through ** litigation the little man can not afford to defend. It is already tough enough to be a good dealer and keep the ATF happy.
Step two, over-regulate the FFL dealers that try to remain in business by requiring stupidly contrived measures.
Step three, here comes the flurry of laws of mandatory regisration of what you currently own, with heavy penalties and jailtime if caught with a firearm that is not registered in their computer system by your name.
Step four is taking all of them away from you forever for any little thing!

We have to stand up to this mess right now!
