What was the load you used and where did you hit em at?

I have a 14in 223 barrel for my contender that I have never mounted . I asked about using it for deer a few years ago and caught all kinds of flack. Glad to see some success pics.

the doe I shot center of the shoulder she piled up DRT

the buck I shot right behind the shoulder, and he ran about thirty-five yards

I was using a Georgia Arms load with a 55grain Hornady ballistic tip projectile.

.223 is way plenty for deer. some guys just cant shoot worth a flip. So they try to impose their limitations on everyone.
those are also the same guys that say a .300WM is to big because they are scared of recoil. :rofl:lol
