Couldn’t count them, in some clean hardwoods, but very large with multiple adult hens. These were larger than a game chicken, around the size of a laying variety. Fully feathered.
1:1 ratio sightings are def not good. Better than nothing, but you gotta know a pile of adult hens lost their lives in the pursuit of motherhood, so we need some bigger groups out of the survivors.
This year has had some gully washing rains in south GA, so I know that could have well been a major obstacle.
