I knew who Anne Jillian was back in those days but not much about her. The Saudis wouldn’t let her or The Pointers Sisters perform due to their religious laws. The Pointer Sister stayed in the hotel. Anne had the military bring her a set of BDUs. She wore her camo to look like a female military member and walked two miles down that flight line looking for people to talk with. She found the burger grill in our hangar. She sat and ate a burger with a crowd around her trying to talk to as many as possible. Anne Jillian was a class act, genuine good lady.
