Active Army Passing Through

Greetings all, my name's Ray. I'm an Army Warrant Officer who will be spending a few months at Fort Eisenhower for training, coming off of an assignment in Hawaii. My folks are based outside of Atlanta, so I've enjoyed some great fishing experiences around the state during previous visits for leave and training.

Although my time here will be limited, I hope to have a few good hunts for small game, hogs, turkey, and possibly coyotes, as well as more quality fishing. Over just a few weeks of lurking around this forum, I've picked up a lot of good insights for which I'm very thankful to the GON community. I hope to make some good connections here, and return the favor through shared resources and knowledge.

Welcome amongst our ragtag group. Hope you have many changes to enjoy Georgia. And, too, thanks for your service.

Oh, when the Army send you elsewhere, don't abandon us. Stick around. There are folks from all over posting in the GON forum. Heck, we even let people who live in Florida, even South Carolina, hang around and tell tales here.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Wrapping up my PCS leave, I got to check out a few pieces of public land around the NC/SC border and even managed to bag a couple squirrel boars. I was really hoping to get a good scout around Lake Russell WMA, but they were closed for Rx burn. Oh well, guess I'll move on to the CSRA for now.
