Adena??

Walking up the bluff leaving the river swamp today, I thought to myself, the flat spot ahead could have been a camp--everything but a sign stating: "Point ahead in road". Sure enough there it was. I also found a tip to a point. Lousy turkey hunt turned into gold. Photo of the point in situ. GilPXL_20220505_152930169.jpgPXL_20220505_230723366.jpg

Great find! I'd say that's more of a Putnam or Marion than Adena. Whatever it is, that's a nice point!

Thanks, NC. Did a little more turkey hunting and bozoed a bird out of a tree after what I thought was past flydown time and no gobbles had been heard. To make up for it, I did a little more looking in the area and it doesn't get much better than the surface find depicted below. A tiny side notched beveled Bolen. Small enough for an arrow but this one was made thousands of years before bows and arrows. Top photo was as it lie before I touched it. Gil
