I’ll go ahead and start the thread. I have a feeling this game is going to be a good one. If Georgia’s defense can stop the pass game and force Bama to stack the box, it’s going to be a good game. Lot of people have the Dawgs counted out because their struggle against Kentucky but they usually do first road game of the year.

So who’s going to gaurd the 17 year old

Roll Tide from Eugene, OR!

It ain’t no Bryant-Denny or Sanford stadium, but I would like to catch a game here one day!
The Ducks have been a fun team to watch play since Chip Kelly was at the helm.

As for next weeks game, I give the Dawgs the edge, but should be a great game regardless!
Love when they meet up in regular season.

I’ve got my snacks bought, making a liquor run this week to stock up for the game. Getting ready to get and give appropriate amounts of crap with my DAWG bros.

There are much better football gurus on the board but this is how I see it. Take nothing for granted playing Kirby, he’s one of the best. This year’s DAWG defense hasn’t shown to be his best work, but that may be rat poison.

Jalen has really improved over last season. Kalen has built a good O line to give him that extra second to let the play develop. If he doesn’t have a downfield target, looks for the bomb, he’ll run. He’s one of the most accurate long bomb passers in the conference, ask Auburn. He’s athletic and hard to stop when he runs. His weakness is timing on critical plays, IE dropped snap on goal line push. Jam Miller is a great back who will wear out a defense grinding out 5-15 yds all game long. The WR stable is deep with talent beyond Williams.

I honestly didn’t expect Kalen to have a great season year one. He has exceeded expectations and they have shot at breaking the DAWG streak. No guarantee, bit they got a shot. This will be a great game.

Gotta give a new coach two or three seasons. Bama recruits great players, but Dobear still recruits different kinds of players. His offensive lineman recruits are typically thinner and faster than what Saban recruits because their offenses are so different. Washington's team did win the award for best offensive line last year and we all know how Bama struggled their last year. Also, I just don't believe Jalen Milroe is the answer. He reminds me of Hurts. Hurts was a great runner but couldn't hit a barn at 20 yards at that time

He is not a complete package, I agree. His mental timing doesn’t match his athletic ability. He doesn’t do as well midfield as the bomb. I’m not the least bit concerned if Simpson comes into a game.

Me either. I kinda hope for it every game. I felt that way about Tua. Anyone that watched Bama play knew that he was a better passing quarterback. I don't pretend to know more than the coaches, but dang man, that just seemed obvious I thought. A loss might raise a few questions and call for a change. Losing a game can become the best thing that happens to a team. We've seen it a lot. Winning can hide some weaknesses

I'll have to disagree on the Dawgs defense. How many touchdowns have they given up in 3 games?

I absolutely love when UGA and Bama play. I don’t know what to think now that Saban’s is gone…it doesn’t quite feel the same.

You could be absolutely right JB, I’m no guru. Watching KY shove them around the field all day didn’t remind me of your championship teams. Scores don’t always tell the story. If it did Bama had a great day against SFU. They sucked that day, penalties a plenty. Looks like a lot of that got cleaned up before WI.

I don't care what anybody says. We as fans are all nervous. With good reason. This game every time comes down to 1 or 2 plays that make a difference. They are generally as evenly matched as 2 teams can be.

Dawgs are favored by a nominal amount. 2.5 with an O/U OF 49.5.

At least predictions indicate a 27-24 or thereabouts...

Of course, anything can happen.
