Allatoona 05/01 & 05/02

Pete and I haven't Gar fished in a few years now. We got our friends on them last couple days boating 20+. Had Shad in the tank but they seemed to be more aggressive towards the rope lure. We were using light gear too so the fights were fun with some aerials. Pete was catching them on the fly rod. All sight fishing. What a fun couple of days. Pete captured 4+ hours of video too. Here are a few pics.

Wow...That must be a blast! For the rope lures, did you just toss it out infront of those sighted or did you blind cast? Also interested in the retrieve.

Sorry for late reply. My son has a video made. We were literally hitting them in the nose with the rope on sight. Water was calm so they were all on surface. Day after they were deep so did blind casts in same spots. We even played with a few!
