Went to Allatoona yesterday afternoon for a few hours with my kids. The crappie have finally moved shallow. Cork with a grub 2' deep in any ditch or near any piece of wood and bobber down! We caught 50 in about 3 hours and the kids had a blast! My daughter caught one very nice one that had to be right at 2#'s. Released them all due to the fact I was too tired to clean fish after managing the chaos. Water temp was 60deg in Allatoona creek arm.

Nice job! I tried few spots yesterday and didn't have any luck up shallow, but managed to find some trolling. Which end of the lake were you fishing?

I was back up in Allatoona creek. In the ditches they were reeling it slow and any wood try to reel it right by it. The first pocket with the big metal dock in front is a good start. Then back in that same pocket on the left is some brush you can see the tips on. They were stacked in there. You can duplicate this same pattern in Tanyard and clark creek. I use the light Davis heads and a grub that is half white half glow and chart tail. Not sure what kind Craig at the dugout told me they would work.

Thanks man; great info. I'm gonna give the north side of the lake another try for a few hours tomorrow afternoon.
