Hit the lake for a few hours today from 11 to 3:30 and it was super busy not a real surprise with the amazing weather. I got 5 biggest maybe 2 lbs on an Alabama rig 2 other spots on jerkbait and the 2 largemouth that were caught on a whopper plopper.

Hit the lake again today for a few hrs and only got 1 largemouth that took me almost 10 minutes to get in. Sounds like a long fight for a 1 lb fish but he hit an Alabama rig and snagged a tree about 3 feet under the surface after getting my wife to drive me around I was able to get the branch and got him in and my rig back. The only other dramatic thing was fishing a bank as what appeared to be a 35 foot boat came by and sent 3 foot waves at us so wife and dog on front deck went home wet and all she kept saying is way the **** is a boat that big out here. Haha

A similar boat blew the no wake yesterday at gatewood ramp. Really dumb.

We caught some schooling fish and some deep fish.

Can't stand the fools on the lake anymore. I don't even get out on Lanier on summer weekends.
Sounds like you caught some nice fish.
