Timely thread- I am in the market for my son a set of clubs so that I can start back up. I life 250yds from golf course but it is private and probably out of my price range. Cobblestone is near tho and one that I have liked playing in the past.

I haven't picked up a club in probably 10 years and that was after a 5-7 year hiatus.

Not very good, I love to play!

Nothing wrong with not being very good, might even be ideal. And I can say with absolute certainly that the better you get the more frustrating the game becomes. I would say the ideal handicap to aspire to is around 8 to 12. When you get to the point that you can shoot around par it becomes WORK!
