Anyone familiar with Rocky Mountain PFA above Rome?

Gonna spend the next few weekends scouting/hunting/learning about black bears. I have never hunted them before. Gonna get out before the giant pumpkin migration. Any information would be greatly appreciated

ive fished it a few times, never hunted it... I think bear would be a long shot though on Rocky Mountain

I've fished it a few times as well, don't know that there would be very many bears around there, I hunted Rich mtn wma and Blue Ridge wma many years ago for bear, if I were to try it again I believe I'd go to one of those, I know they have plenty up there

Never seen bear sign there and never heard of one being seen. Not in the right area of the state. Good fishing.

I found a lil' bear sign there last year, but as others have said it's not the go to spot for bear.

Thanks guys. Yeah I asked before I studies the map. Habitat just doesn’t seem right for bears. Guess I’m heading up to the National Forest this weekend above Ball Ground and have a look

You could see a bear anywhere in north Georgia but east of 75 has a stronger population.

I found fresh sign last week on Paulding Forest. So it’s possible, west of 75. But northeast GA is where it’s at.

Buddy of mine saw one in Hamilton Ga years ago. If you seen a bear in Hamilton your liable to see one anywhere.
