I didn't much like the first one, and won't be watching the new one. Hope this helps. And no, it had nothing to do with Halloween and haints and the Dev-ill stuff, just not my type of movie. I'm more into stuff like the Thirteenth Warrior and Jeremiah Johnson and Last of the Dogmen.

Just to give an actual review… my wife and son saw it this last Sunday. Teenage son said it was ok.

as he left the room, my wife mouthed… IT SUCKED! And the expression on her face. she really meant it. At least we saved the price of my admission, I stayed home and got some work done. comp time for dove hunting yesterday

Streamed it last night . We got a few chuckles, but if I’d paid $60 plus bucks at the movie house I’d feel jipped.

My wife and I saw it last weekend at a movie theater. We saw the original Beetlejuice at a theater way back in the day around the time we got married. Beetlejuice 2 was okay. Definitely not as much fun as the first one IMHO. To be fair, it would be very hard to meet or exceed the original, but credit to director Tim Burton for trying, I guess.
