Apple iPhone or Samsung Android

I have always had Android, because I don't like Apple deciding what I can and cannot do , what I can put on my phone and what I can't, and don't believe the hype about Iphone being the most secure , its not . Apple does appreciate all the Iphone lemmings out there though, they line up and camp out over night to get the latest over priced Chinese product !

It reminds me back in the early days where some computer brands were proprietary as to what you could do to their machines.
This was more to do with hardware though.
But just a comparison of a company that limits what you can do to something that is yours such as the Iphone. Not just the phone but remember the Ipod mp3 player? You had to use Itunes.
Apple has had an institutional obsession with control over their products for the last 4 decades or so.

and they just announced their next Iphone will have integrated AI into the phone software, so they will be spying on your phone usage more than ever after that is instituted,

So will your Androids….Google it.

I don't get a "new" phone till its been out about 4-5yrs, currently using a S10 I only got in 22, when I can no longer use this one I'll be getting one of the phones such as Eric Prince's phone he's come out with that doesn't track you, there is another one also, likely to be even more, Elon has one also, I've already disabled everything possible on the S10 I have, at least with Androids and these other "non tracking" phones you can install whatever apps you choose to, instead of only being allowed what Apple says you can use

If google touches it you can rest assured that they know everything about you and what you are doing

Mr. Pappy
My iPhone 10 has finally bit the dust and need to order a new phone. I have not had a personal phone since 1999 so my options for my company phone (also used for personal) are iPhone and Samsung. I know that the iPhone was developed for ease of use (soccer moms and took off) and is locked down but my son keeps telling me that Android is far superior due to the customization freedom and compatibility with 3rd party apps and interfaces.

Anyone made the switch from apple to android?
all we use at work is Android, and the Samsung S21 and up are some great phones.

Check into the phone Eric Prince had developed, with his military background he wanted a secure phone, and found someone to build it, if I remember right they only run around $1000
Shhhh!

I'm still mad they MADE me change from this "semi trackable"

to a full time trackable next gen flip last year. The new one only has the battery in when I want to make a call. I'd be just as happy to go back to not being able to found every second of every day.

Well the good or bad news depending is that no matter Apple, Android, flip phone etc its pretty easy to track and find out who people really are nowadays.

Hence the reason the battery stays in another pocket. I have a land line and if you want to call me... use it. IF I recognize the number I'll either answer or call you back.
