Surprised no one has posted any recent pics? They started crawling in my neck of the woods last week. Saw 2 while turkey hunting, and this rather large one today:

I walked over 8 miles on a mountain WMA on Saturday in search of pigs. I saw a little bit of bear sign, but not as much as I was expecting. At least one bear is still eating Red Oak acorns.

My sawtooth acorns got bit bad in the last freeze. Don't think the red and white oaks got hurt real bad.

Unfortunately I don't live in bear country. I am very excited about getting up there opening week. Good luck out there this year, won't be long!

Based on what Ive seen theyre on insects hard. I was not too far behind a young bear on a long trail. I saw his tracks a few times. He had walked about five miles and had turned over nearly every rock. Gonna be an interesting ride for the next mtn biker that zooms through.
