Bear target opinion

The actual bear is slightly qautering toward the viewer, but the skeletal image on top is straight broadsided. But I'd say close nuff.

If correct, why do some say aim "middle of the middle?"

If you look closely you can see the bone structure of the legs are moved to far forward. They should be toward the middle more, the edge of the lungs are hidden a little more from the shoulder on a real bear. If you pick the front leg out on a real bear, go up to middle of mass and then shoot 2-4 inches back it will go straight through the lungs, you shouldn't aim at the heart because it is protected more from the bone structure. That pic is not a good pic to judge by, just remember the vitals are farther back than a deer and you will be ok.

Partly because of the hair that hangs down makes it an illusion of where the actual body is.
