I worked with a older gentleman who had knee issues. He was a stalk hunter walked slowly and always bagged a buck. But he bought a Ruger Blackhawk with a long barrel. 10" or 12" I think. Had a chest holster and a red dot scope and continued hunting for many years and getting a deer every year with his Ruger until cancer stopped him.
It was .44 mag and he loved it.
