One more question how often do you encounter tiger trout in Georgia waters?
Never, WNC is going to be your best best, but even then you might have better odds with the lottery. If you’re willing to make a quick flight out to Denver you can get them pretty easily with a modestly quick drive if you really want one.

Wild tiger trout are rare as hen's teeth. NC stocked some a few years ago, so there are occasionally some hatchery ones out there.

I got one years ago, and sent a pic to the NC DNR. They said that they don't stock them in that stream, so it was a wild tiger that came from natural reproduction. The ranger asked if he could use the pic in his presentations, as they are so rare, and I of course said yes.
